I’d heard a lot about how great a player he was, but never really had the chance to watch the games (and no sports fans around to educate me when I could).

Of course, JJ Watt’s a legend in Houston and we were all sad to see him released and retire, as even the most lax fans would be sad to see someone who’d been with our city so long depart. Though part of me hopes this was a wake-up call to the Texans’ front office (chaotic and infuriating as hell in those days, as many have been quick to tell me) to get their crap together and stop pissing their players off.

But wow… I really wanted to get a better grasp of his game and why he’s thought of so well. I love this video, because now I can really see how he worked and how good he was. Now I get the love for this guy on the field, and the more I get to understand football… yeah, it would’ve been awesome to watch these games in the flesh in the day.

Shoutout to the channel “Thinking Football” for this video. I’m gonna have to watch more because the descriptions and the replays are so helpful to get what I’m seeing
