I have an absurd theory about the current NFL season: the Pandora’s box of luck the Chiefs had relied on burst open when they failed to 3-peat and unleashed itself on the rest of the NFL. Granted, some teams (like my Texans) had a ridiculously slow start or were deemed massive successes… but last week happened, and now Week 5 has been amazing.

After this week it’ll be hard to cling to those win-loss predictions analysts and armchair quarterbacks put together in the off-season. This is turning into a free-for-all season, like any team could win at this point.

And you’d better believe I’m still doing a happy dance after the Texans beat the Ravens (I barely stopped dancing after they whipped the Titans the week before!). I hoped the Texans would win, obviously, but I figured even with an injury-laden roster, the Ravens would make it a pretty close game. But for the first time in franchise history, the Texans beat the Ravens IN Baltimore… just wow.

Of course, my Texans weren’t the only team having crazy good things happen… and Tom Grossi’s got his pulse on the fanbases like usual. I hope the rest of the season is as exciting as this week has been.

The Floor is Yours…
